The Sun Lounger Most Hotels Are Missing

Until a guest struggles to enjoy the poolside comfortably

Our accessible sun loungers for hotels improve comfort for every guest, without changing your layout

The Lounger Built for Guests Your Standard Chairs Cannot Serve

For most guests, getting in and out of a standard sun lounger is effortless. For guests with reduced mobility, joint conditions or limited strength, it can quietly define their entire poolside experience.

The Unity Access Lounger sits at 550mm, significantly higher than a standard commercial lounger, making sitting down, standing up and side transfer considerably easier. Many guests may be able to use it without staff assistance, depending on their individual mobility needs. For those who require support, it can reduce the level of assistance needed.

It is designed to sit alongside existing poolside furniture without disrupting the layout, aesthetic or daily operation of the area. No installation. No structural changes. No institutional look.

A property that gets this right does not just improve accessibility. It shows guests that comfort, dignity and inclusion have been properly considered.

A Simple Change Hotels Are Already Making

Rather than replacing their entire poolside setup, many hotels are introducing a small number of elevated  loungers alongside their existing furniture.

It’s a simple addition that makes sitting and standing easier for certain guests, without changing layouts or disrupting design.

Most properties start with one or two units to see how guests respond.

Outdoor Furniture Built for
Premium Hospitality Spaces

We work with hotels and resorts to improve how poolside spaces function for a wider range of guests. While most outdoor areas are beautifully designed, standard low loungers do not always provide comfortable seating for guests with reduced mobility, older guests, or those who need additional seating support.

More hotels are now introducing elevated loungers alongside their existing furniture to improve comfort, accessibility, and guest experience without changing the look of the poolside.

Why hospitality teams choose Access Sun Loungers:

  • Designed for real guest use, not just how it looks
  • Elevated options that solve a problem most hotels overlook
  • Integrates seamlessly with existing poolside layouts
  • No installation, no disruption, no operational changes

Designed for Guests Standard Loungers Leave Behind

Standard commercial loungers are often too low and difficult for some guests to use comfortably or independently.

The Unity Access Lounger is elevated and wider, making sitting down, standing up, and poolside relaxation significantly easier for guests with reduced mobility, joint conditions, or limited strength.

Designed to sit naturally alongside premium outdoor furniture, it improves accessibility while maintaining the visual standard expected in luxury hospitality environments.

It’s a simple addition that helps more guests enjoy your space comfortably and confidently.

Why We Built This

Access Sun Loungers was founded by Jackie Meechan after watching a close friend lose the ability to relax poolside with dignity.  A progressive condition had taken away her mobility, and standard sun loungers made it impossible to get in and out safely.

That experience revealed a gap that nobody was addressing at the quality end of the market. We built Access Sun Loungers to fill it. Our range includes the Unity Access elevated sun lounger, aluminium and wooden sun loungers with mobility-friendly options, and beach and floating wheelchairs for fully inclusive outdoor spaces.

Beautiful design and real accessibility are not mutually exclusive. We are here to prove it.

Every product in our range is selected or developed with both aesthetics and accessibility in mind. Commercial-grade materials, weather-resistant finishes, and thoughtful design details that work as hard as your team does.

Our accessible loungers follow inclusive design principles, ensuring supportive seating, appropriate height, stability, and assisted-mobility features. As standards vary by region, we can advise based on your location.

No, not always. The Unity Access Lounger is designed to support easier sitting, standing and side transfer, so many guests may be able to use it independently depending on their mobility needs. Some guests may still require light support from a companion, carer or hotel staff. Beach and floating wheelchairs are generally intended for assisted use.

Most loungers can be cleaned with mild soap and water. Rope, sling mesh, and solution-dyed fabrics require minimal maintenance and dry quickly without special treatments.
Yes – many hotels and resorts mix styles to create distinct pool, spa, and beach zones. We can help curate the perfect combination for your property.

There is no fixed minimum. Many properties start with one or two units to introduce accessible seating alongside their existing poolside furniture, while larger resorts may choose several units across pool, spa and beach areas. We can advise on the right quantity for your space and guest volume.
